Autonomous Agricultural Robot for Intelligent Weed Detection and Destruction
This research presents the development of a fully autonomous agricultural robot designed to detect and eliminate weeds in real time using advanced computer vision and robotic automation. The system integrates an AI-powered vision module capable of distinguishing crops from weeds under varying environmental conditions. Detection models were optimized using pruning and quantization techniques to ensure efficient real-time performance on embedded hardware. The robot operates fully autonomously in agricultural environments and uses a precision laser-based destruction mechanism to eliminate weeds without harming surrounding crops. The research highlights the potential of intelligent robotics to reduce chemical herbicide usage and improve sustainable farming practices.
